At Calo Market, we take label-checking seriously because your health comes first. Our food philosophy emphasizes transparency, balance, and a focus on minimally processed ingredients. That said, you may also find some items that undergo additional processing in order to achieve certain tastes, textures, or functions. We aim to offer a thoughtful variety, giving you the choice between minimally processed items and other options depending on your preferences.
All items on marketplace are approved by our in-house nutritionists to ensure that they meet our quality standards.
Not everything makes it onto marketplace just because it's healthy. Our team taste tests all products to make sure they taste as good as they feel.
We share every ingredient and why it's there, so you can make confident, informed choices.
Our focus is on keeping foods as close to their natural state as we reasonably can, choosing options that don't go through unnecessary steps.
When sweetness is needed, we choose sources that are more natural and less refined.
Products like protein powders or bars require extra processing for optimal nutrition, taste, or texture. We focus on simple ingredients, minimal sweeteners or additives, and trusted third-party certifications.
Colors come only from fruits, vegetables, or botanicals — never from synthetic dyes.

We exclude industrial seed oils like canola, soybean, and sunflower to avoid refined fats.
We avoid products that rely too heavily on synthetic sweeteners and only allow ones that use them sparingly when they serve a clear purpose.
If there's not enough research to support long-term safety, we choose not to include it in our market.
We keep emulsifiers, stabilizers, and other additives to a minimum, only allowing them when they genuinely add value to the product.
At Calo Market, our supplement approval process is different from that of everyday food items because supplements, by nature, are more processed and require stricter evaluation. Unlike whole foods, which we prioritize in their most natural form, supplements often undergo additional processing to achieve concentrated nutrition, enhanced functionality, or convenient formats such as powders, capsules, or bars.

To balance the need for functional, convenient options with our Market philosophy, we carefully:
Ensure that each component serves a clear nutritional purpose
Review processing level and safety
Review benefits and long-term side effects
